How to Create Recurring Products (Including Split Payments)

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of creating recurring products for your checkout pages. A recurring product allows you to charge your members on a regular basis (monthly, annually, etc.) depending on your price configuration.

You’ll also learn how to offer split payments (payment plans), which lets customers pay in smaller amounts over time instead of paying in full at once. This is ideal if you want to give your members flexible payment options.

Step 1: Create a Product

👉 For detailed instructions, follow this guide: How To Create A Product

Step 2: Under your product’s Payment Settings, choose Recurring as the payment type.
Step 3: Configure Recurring Payment Details

    1. Billing Cycle - Choose how often the customer will be charged: Annual, Monthly, Bi-Weekly, or Daily.

    2. Number of Payments (months) - Leave this blank for unlimited billing, or enter a specific number to stop billing after that cycle.

    Split Payments (Payment Plans)

If you’d like to offer a payment plan, simply set the Number of Payments to the desired amount (e.g., 3 payments). This allows the customer to pay the full amount over a specified period.

    3. Trial Period (days) - Set the number of trial days before billing starts.

    Advanced Options

    • Additional One-Time Fee - Add an extra charge at the start of the subscription (e.g., setup fee).
    • Name Your Price - Allow customers to enter the amount they want to pay, giving them flexible pricing options.
Step 4: Adjust confirmation email settings if needed

Step 5: Click Update/Save to ensure all changes are applied.
